Greetings from Wisconsin, USA
Greetings!
I thought I'd already posted here, but apparently I got distracted and didn't actually click 'submit'. So, I get to type it all in again. I've got a 1985 Corolla GTS. I bought it about a year a half ago, and haven't had much time to do anything with it yet. It's already got some pretty good suspension mods, I just need to get some good tires on it and start playing with it. The engine's pretty much bone stock, except for an air filter, and an almost-fartcannon on the back. The suspension is KYB AGX short-throw coilovers, Tein camber plates, adjustable panhard rod. Datsun 6-spoke wheels for now, with bald Azenis 195/60-14 RT-215's. The body is VERY clean for this area, just a little bit of rust on one of the rear fenders. The hood, fenders, and doors were painted yellow primer by the previous owner, they were red before. I've got a J-blood style rear bumper to put on, and J-blood sideskirts, and some 2" flares on the fenders as well. I got the car with a couple spare heads, a spare block, a couple spare clutches, and some other bits and pieces. I really enjoy autocrossing and track lapping days, it feels really good to get behind the wheel of an FR car again. For the last 10 years, I've pretty much been driving my FF ford escort station wagon, which for the last 4 years has been slightly faster than normal. Funny how forced induction and good suspension can do that. Anyway, I will definitely be taking this car to autocross, and to the track, and probably even to some drifting events after I get the feel for the car. I've put one picture in my garage, but you can find the rest of the pics I have of this carhere. Those are actually the pictures taken by the previous owner, before he sold it to me. He'd brought it to a couple of autocross events, and the car just looked very fun, and when he was looking to sell it, I had to buy it. Well, that's all for now, This board seems pretty good so far! --sarge |
