250 is indeed a ripoff! I'd say ask in the future for a quote on how much it would cost in total and how long it will take. Otherwise you might get surprised like this. Undecided

Just tell him to pay you 200 quid because you lost a deal now. Someone wanted to buy your car for 500 pounds more than you asked for but since it took too long to finish off a simple repairment the guy lost interest. You suffer from this and now it's your loss, so obviously he should pay. Tongue
