Hello from The Netherlands
Hmmm a bit of cross posting hereSmile

Welcome both of youSmile

Richie, hatchbacks are hard to find. If you want a project car, I'm assuming you mean rebuild from scratch car, your best bet is getting one from Denmark.

Greetz,

Bastiaan "mux213" Olij

Moved down under, no more hachi Sad

Thanks Mux.

Yeah, I'm looking for a car with a good body, doesn't matter if the engine is on it's last legs. I would like to swap it for a 20v blacktop.
I'll be keeping my eyes on the for sale forum. I saw that there where some for sale a couple of weeks back.

Welcome, don't wanna salt your game, but do you have a clue how much money and time your "project" hatchback is going to cost? swapping for an 20v blacktop is realy cool, but unless you got a very filled wallet, your going to be spending that money elsewhere probably.

Hello from The Netherlands
Welcome! Sounds like a nice project - lets hear some more...

BUT: Hatches are hard to come by exept in DK. Good ones are hard to come by in DK and the prices are increasing Sad

Sarcasme is just one of the things I offer Wink

Hello from The Netherlands
Good luck finding a reasonably priced hachi with a sound shell. Engines are plentifull and a breeze to swap, so you won't find many ditched cars because their engine died.
I figure it will cost you at least 3000E for a car with a sound shell, with prices now quickly rising to the 4000 mark.

A wheel to steer the front of the car
A pedal to steer the rear

Hey there,

hmmz good luck indeed

seen the blacktop conversion in a TE71 from a friend of mine and the TE71 has a slightly larger engine space and if you don't want to cut or hammer the firewall it will cost you alot to go aftermarket.

I want a blacktop myself but i also talked to alot of people if you do it for the bhp you can better tune up a 4age 16v caus for the cost of a blacktop you can build a 4age 16v wsith over 200 bhp

Cars:
"99 Lexus IS200
"86 AE86 Kouki Panda Levin GT-Apex (restore project)
"84 AE86 Zenki Blue Levin (project racer)
Motorcycles:
"02 Yamaha R1
"02 Honda Hornet S
"08 BMW R1200GS

Its very hard getting more than ~185 hp on a 4AGE and it will cost more than a Blacktop!

Senna, I know how much money and time will be involved in a project like this. It's probably going to be in the 5 figure area no doubt.
That isn't the problem, the problem is finding a good "base" car to start with.
