Coil springs...
2 Apolan- A guy in zagreb iz a blacksmith... I think after this whole debate I will try with him... I'll do my calculation...

My car is already low enough on 13'' rims... I would like a few cm lower but doesn't have to be... I just wat freakin' stiffer springs because this way I put on the brakes, turn in, put the gas down and the car sinks to the front wheel, back wheels are not similary pressured to the ground and that is simply not it...


This way I can drive fast, turn in, but no sliding.... it wobles around...

You mean that for front long stroke AE86 Koni Sport 5cm lower spring will be too short? You mean that the shock will bump on the bottom end? Dumb question

Well i haven't tried it for myself, but a common belief is that 40mm lowering is the bottom line for the longstroke. I guess it depends also on the stiffnes, so if the spring is a bit stiffer, than you just might get away with abit more. DOnt know.

Im doing my research now, and i've come to a conclusion, that all thieese lowering springs are the same "shit". they all lower the car aprox. 4 cms, and they all offer an increased stiffness of 30% over stock. Im buying apexes since they are the cheapest and the only ones availible in store nearby.

Custom wound springs would be ideal, but i cant wait much longer, must get my "show" on the road. And besides it might get too expensive.

So apex+tokico+prothane form me now. When i learn to push the car to the limit, than i'll go shortstroke and coilover.

I tried purchasing Espelir Active GTs at a local shop, and they said Espelir Active GT for the AE86 has been discontinued. Too bad, it's a pretty good spring rate too.
