Hey Guys, Help
Wish I could find one for 3k in Greece, no matter the state of the car... Anyway, check CAREFULLY for rusty spots, as there's chance for the rust to be "hidden".

Like roku trueno said ,look for rust.

In the trunk lift the carpet up and look under the spare tire.

Hey Guys, Help
Ok Sorry for double post, the thing was flagged off of craigslist because of pictures, it's still there.
He said the car doesn't downshift from 4th to 3rd to 2nd.
This is just the gearbox right?
What would I have to do to fix this?

Thanks guys.

Hey Guys, Help
That would mean the syncros are ready for replacement. You can fix this with a rebuild kit, but that will cost you about 500 dollars (apart from the work it takes) so most people just swap the whole gearbox instead.

Go for it! 3K for a clean car like that? Sure you'll need another 15K to make it like a clean prisitine car, but its worth it.

Hey Guys, Help
Gearboxes are in Europe between 200 and 400 (in good condition) euros. I see them for sale on club4ag between 100 and 400 dollars, but that would depend on the availability of course... Wink
