Hi from Iceland
there is no glass or nothing, only the rear door. Only have to paint it, along with the car and put it all pack together

Hi from Iceland
Jon,

You should have gotten an FPR rear hatch, you'd spend alot less then 500 euros and have some nice light lexan rear windowSmile

Hi from Iceland
this is so expensive here because of the shipping and taxes. I dont know how much FPR hatch is, but it might go way over 500 after shipping and taxes.

But 500 on the car once in a while isnt that much. Now all i need is new front fenders and i'm good for now. Two of them go for 630eur at the dealership.

But also i just might make mold from one of my old hatches and make a good fiberglass one when i finish my car up the way i want it to be.

Hi from Iceland
Jon,

Yeah I can imagine shipping would be very expensive there. Still OEM parts usually are expensive by themselves.

Making some FPR copies is a good idea but if you only make 2 or three the costs may still be pretty high, especially if you haven't done this before, you are bound to have to redo it a couple of times before you get it perfected...

Hi from Iceland
i'll just have to deal with all the difficult parts Confused but it is very expensive to own a car like this here, the parts are all hard to get and the dealership is almost the only place. Even thoug i have a huge pile a parts myself i will have to buy lots of stuff from toyota.

Hi from Iceland
Hey Jon,

Well I guess that goes most for you compared to anyone on this forum. Then again we do have more people in parts of the world with few hachi's and far away enough to make shipping on the expensive side.

Still you will have to get creative in either fabricating your own replacement parts or seeing what will fit from other cars.

And these cars are not cheap for any of usSmile

Hi from Iceland
This car sure aint cheap, thats for sure. But im lucky it has slim to none rust, unlike some other ppl. I think i will take it out for its first spin in June. Then next winter i'll bring it in for a total suspension upgrade and new fenders and maybe a new wing. Then the only thing left is the engine.

Hi from Iceland
Hey Jon,

Suspention is the best place to start, esp if you have little rust (that is very cool). Just make sure rust does not get a chance to become a problem...

But why new fenders and a new wing? I'd go look at the engine first after the suspention is sorted outSmile

Hi from Iceland
Well to start with, i like the TRD wing and the old fenders were the only things that had rust. It was the most beautiful corolla here in Iceland, so i'll have to do something so the others will not get ahead of me
