How does the 4age AFM system work?

Does anyone know the standard setting in AFM? Right now I'm having a high CO rating in my exhaust and getting very risky with my emissions test.. Want to know whether its got anything to do with my AFM..

Will be doing a tune up as well..

not entirely sure anymore as I haven't had a CAT for 5+ years and the brain isn't what it used to be. If I remember correctly, if only CO is out then it's most likely the CAT - was the car properly warmed up? a hot CAT works way better than a cold one.

Yes it was.. It was in running temp for about 15 mins..

So a tune up isn't exactly what's going to resolve this you think?

if you say running temp for 15min - do you mean just idling? if yes that's not going to cut it with an old cat. go for a spirited drive for 30min and then straight for a measurement and see if anything changed.

I did a spirited drive for 15 mins..

Probably I should change the cat to a newer one anyway..

I assume your timing is right, TPS set correctly and no leaks in air supply or exhaust... also no fault codes from the ECU. If you have a CAT you also have a lambda sensor which could be out of calibration due to wear or covered in residues
