XLarge Wrote:Here in Germany we only get the 2door-coupe with the Levin-front. I like the Trueno-front more and was lucky to find a US-imported SR5 and finaly bought it this week (direct from a junkyard...):You lucky ******* Those trueno´s are rare as hell here in europe! I know. Because of that I bought it, even without papers, with a no running engine (unfinished 4A-GE-swap of a earlyer owner) and without a dashboard. Much work in front of me....

You could always just swap the front onto a Levin... That way, you dont have to rebuild the Trueno

Knudsen, stop with those crazy ideas, this trueno has to be saved!!
WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND PUTS A NICE LOOKING CAR LIKE THAT IN A JUNKYARD It doesn't even look damaged, just a broken engine Xlarge, isn't there some way to get it back onto papers? the junkyard must have gotten the old documents so there must be something that can be done when it is not yet scrapped? My guess is that toyota did that on purpose because of many other brands already having flip up headlights. Cars: "99 Lexus IS200 "86 AE86 Kouki Panda Levin GT-Apex (restore project) "84 AE86 Zenki Blue Levin (project racer) Motorcycles: "02 Yamaha R1 "02 Honda Hornet S "08 BMW R1200GS |

Knudsen Wrote:You could always just swap the front onto a Levin... That way, you dont have to rebuild the Trueno But I want a hatchback and here in Germany the hatchback was never sold. My Hatchi is the first hatch in Germany I have ever seen for sale. OK, I could import a Levin from Switzerland or Austria and convert it to a Trueno, but that will be work and trouble too. I found the Trueno 40 km from my home. More work on the car, but much easyer to get the car. mux213 Wrote:WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND PUTS A NICE LOOKING CAR LIKE THAT IN A JUNKYARD It doesn't even look damaged, just a broken engine The last owner was a american soldier. After he give up the engineswap he brought the car to a Toyota-dealer, but he didn´t finished it too. After the soldier went back to USA and leave the Hatchi back the car stands for two years on the junkyard of the dealer. Now I finally decided to rescue it. mux213 Wrote:Xlarge, isn't there some way to get it back onto papers? the junkyard must have gotten the old documents so there must be something that can be done when it is not yet scrapped? There never was german papers for the car and the US-papers get lost or the soldier took ist with him. That will make problems when I will get the car back on the road, but I have a non-legal emergencyexit in stock so the car will defently get back on road. But this will take minimum two additional years, because of the much work, the much money I will have to stick in and because of my current projekt that I will finish first. Get this two together: Regards, Eric |

Zeetee, yeah but over there they got plenty anyways. but indeed, you gottah wonder if its worth making a movie when they scrap so many cars.
Same with Back to the Future, stays one of the nicest movie series in my eyes, but they sacrificed a bundle of DeLoreans.. XLarge, any change you can get a hold of the original american owner? Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi |

No. Because there is no paper to the car I don´t even know the name of the last owner. It will be easyer to get the car back on the road on other ways.
