How to remove side door mouldings without damaging the paintwork?

errr....if you mean those plastic strips on the sides my guess would be to warm them up a bit using a hairdryer or heatgun, then carefully remove them. I took some of those off a spare door and nothing happened to the paint except where some rust had started underneath the strip.

I just ripped them off, my mate got something to take away the gluey stuff. Then again, I didn't care since my car is going to be painted and since left and right the strips where glued on with different methods, I dont even think this is the first time they were taken off

Heat gun seems the best bet though..

becareful when taking them of since the doors will easily get bumped

OK, i removed them using heat gun that dodo lended me.
Driver side was going nice and smooth, almost no damage to paint.
On passanger side i removed paint, since somebody before me removed the mouldings and used some veeeery good glue.

Now i'm filling the spots with kit. Takes ages for kit to stiffen, since it's cold out side.
