Hybrid to fossil burner - 84 Sprinter Trueno
Subbed on here and on YouTube as well.
What a rare car you got your hands on, for sure it has an story to tell. Interesting to see an electric motor mated to the original T50 gearbox and actually used in a racing series nice pictures on your first video when the car was racing in Japan, btw. Do you have any info on what kind of electric motor was this or where did it came from? Any idea of power/torque figures? Just out of curiosity. Glad to see you've already sourced a healthy 4A-GE PS. I lol'd so hard at the K. Tsuchiyas couple walking their dog |

Thanks guys.
Pack, thanks for the advise on removing the vacume hose's i still have quite a bit to read up on and your build post will be one of them. Headrush, well the motor and gearbox is still in the car but once its out il take a closer look. I do know that this was putting in a 1:34 lap at Tsukuba so i would image the motor was putting out less HP certainly, not to mention Electric technical tech back in 2002 probably wasn't great. I'd image in the next 5 years we will see more garages/dealers offer full conversation for older classic like the AE86 |

Yeah, good news on the TRD LSD, I think it's the best one you can fit for a street/mild tune build.

Well I'm sure the copper will be worth something, i might connect a car battery to it to see if it works.
