Hyundai to build new Silvia/AE86?
Take a look at this guys, looks like Hyundai is coming out with a RWD 4 seater coupe inc a 2.0l turbo engine. Naish!
Here's me hoping for a sub 1300kg weight and sub 30.000E price.

Hyundai already failed with Coupe.
Too fat and low-powered car.

this looks good

1300 // 300 = 4.3 kg per 1 hp

970 // 130 = 7.4 kg per 1 hp

It will be a whole lot faster than a hachi with 300 hp. If its correct rwd setup it could be a fun car. Being a 2 door and all. Is hyundai a daughter company of a big japanese motor company???

Huyndai is indeed preparing a turbo engine, with 2litre capacity, but its gonna produce 225 PS.

And thats no speculation, thats news

The platform is also true, its for the Genesis saloon which is about 5 meter long...

Its not gonna be an RX8 but if it costs much less it would be a choise.

By the way, the AE86 costed 6.000.000 drachmas when sold wich is about 18.000-20.000 euros.

The RX8 Challenge costs here 25.000 euros, so its practically the new AE86. And much much much better car than Toyota would make drivingwise Wave

I will not compare AE86 with RX8 - spartan style lightweight car vs luxury one.
If I remember well - price of AE86 in UK was ~6000 pounds incl. all taxes ? 20 000 Euro sounds strage for '87.
