I dont find it that bad looking actually.. The bumpers are a bit oversized but other then that...
Why dont you mount the bumpers of your other hachi and see what it does to the car? I love the look oft the 15" rimms on it though Owh and your rear calipers, they really aren't hard to rebuild yourself. Rebuild set will cost you 40 euros (atleast thats what I paid at toyota for mine), then its just a question of taking the piston out of the caliper (just turn it anti clockwise if I am not mistaken) and remove the old rubber thingies. If your pistons are totally rusted than you need to find others but otherwise you can usually clean them up with some high grit sanding paper. Put the rubber seal back into the caliper, then put the piston back in, last but not least, put the seal back in place. I've actually only done this on my FC calipers so far, I'll be doing this on my hachi rear caliper when I get the time and I'll be sure to post some pictures... I rebuilded the rear calipers by myself
the bumpers on my old hachi are damaged and they have damaged mounting spots too. Well i think i leave the hachi as it is for some while. Don't have money for new paint and bodywork. A lot of people find the look of the car amazing. Well i dont mind the look. I find original look better but as i wrote... is a question of money. 85' AE86 GT coupe lifetime project since 2005 |
