Is the electrical fan conversion any good?
i did that to my AE...
had problems with mecanical one, and broke 2 water pumps Crying

i took radiator from T160 Celica, radiator have electric fan attached to it...
made 2 holders down to hold radiator and uper holders were from old one...
only hoses were the problem couse i was hard to find what i nedded...
celica rad have plug from the other side so hose is longer... i needed exact 1m...
and the good thing, rad is much bigger than stock one... so suppose thats a good thing...

and electrics is easy...
just put some new wires from battery and i made a on/off switch on dashboard Tongue

and cant say that i feel the improvement at responce...
so its minor responce

Pa decko, javi da je kupejka u redu, nemoj da nagadjamo sta se sa njom desava nakon onog nesretnog slucaja na Adi huji. Lepo je cuti da je sredjena i da ide Smile

Is the electrical fan conversion any good?
hey guys I bought a radiator for the conversion. Not sure whether this will workout but going to try out.

Its a late model Corolla rad with a single electrical fan but can fit another one which I'm planning to.

Got it for 65USD.

It's longer than the stock radiator so I guess one side of the radiator has to be hinged to a fabricated mount. and the top inlet is far towards the right so I'm not sure hosing can do the job.

what do you guy think? Can a set of silicon hosing could do the trick to the change of water inlet???

Sorry for the low quality images..

Thanks in advance, Heshan.

There will be a lot of work involed in mounting that radiator, to mount it central in the engine bay you will most likely have to remove you battery holder, an easier option is to mount an aftermarket fan onto your factory radiator, they are usually more powerfull and are a compact design compared to factory fans.

For example:

Going against what I have said above that is what I did in my car, I installed a radiator from a Honda Integra which is wider but it was a twin core and I mounted an aftermarket fan to that. To mount the radiator it required custom made top and bottom mounts.

we did a dualfan conversion like this
Fan on Ebay

on a S14 and we went from boiling coolant while racing grip to a stable temperature of 83-86 degrees celcius.

Ae86 - 135hp
