Ivan's coupe: bodywork is done
Thats quite reasonable....pitty about the front springs..I quite liked them: high springrate ( guessing around 4kg/mm) but high enough to clear any speedbumps easily...Guessing the car will suck more with the lowering springs.

A wheel to steer the front of the car
A pedal to steer the rear

I would be surprised if it ever did pass in one go...
But I just know another garage would have found a gazillion other things to fail it on... the right rear caliper sticks and I think the saddle of mounting plate might be a little bit bent since it does not sit perfectly parallel to the brake disc.
There is also a big hole in the chassis rail under the trunk...would be a failure point but no-one's ever noticed it because it's hidden behind the tank...you need to look just the right way through the little opening there to see it.

This mechanic actually commented that the car is a lot better underneath than it looks on the outside... which is a relief compared to last years "do yourself a favour and bring it to the wrecking yard" comment.

Atleast that is an improvement. Wink
But apart from the extra work it isn't a too big point to fail on. Smile

Update 27893434:

-Fitted Koni yellow's all round
-re-fitted the crappy Merwede/Cobra front lowering springs
-fixed the steering joint dust cover (33 euro's from toyota...what a ripoff).
-threw on senna's old airfilter and aluminium pipe

results:
-hopefully MOT/APK approved by monday
-looks a hell of a lot better with the front down
-steers a bit better too...
-opening TVIS valves sound like porn with the 'sports'airfilter

weird conclusions:
-the springs werent actually that loose at all.. no different than last year when it passed inspection.
-koni and they're f%ck#ng fine-threaded nuts...can never find replacements even when I have thousands of nuts available to search through.
