JAF 2012 meet in The Netherlands

It was great to meet some AE86's at Japanse Autosport Festival in Zandvoort today. I was there with Art (banpei) and when I parked my car at Wangan Warriors paddock I saw Kevin (Bozu) was there already with his yellow Aussie imported AE86. So I was quite happy because normally it was hard to see AE86 around. BTW Kevin told me that Okami also there at his Clutch Master sponsored stand. So there is 3 AE86's around. As I am expected the purple coupé beams inside should be there too... after few hours watching some drift action and walking to my car, I saw him (purple coupé) standing at Corolla Club NL stand. And as we speak Aram with robokill's AE86 arrived and I tell him to parked near my car. Few hour later back to my car again and I was surprised with Red Panda hatchback parked near my car! And banpei told me that was owned by Tim (I dont know his nickname here, but I know him from the last AEU86 meet at my home) so finally there was 6 AE86's came to the meet. It was great to see more AE86's around.

BTW the reason I write this in English (broken english of course ) because today I talked to banpei, maybe in JAF 2013 we can organise for AEU86 club paddock if there enough people interested to bring their car to this meet. Of course this is not only for dutch friends. We would like to see all AE86's around Europe come along to join us

Let us know what do u think and idea... so we can do arrange something?

I actually got a text from Vincent, who has the purple Levin with Beams with same idea.

Maybe we can do this under the AEU86 banner, and have some other classics present aswel, like Banpei's car.

That would be great, seeing as most meets were before my time. I like the idea of having other classics there as well. Who knows, maybe it'll hit big and a classic car section is born

Yeah, Aram that what I mean by "bring their car" This mean others jap classic/new also welcome but we will reserve majority place for AE86.

If we can get more people for this meeting, I might go for it in 2013! Only we need confirmation for people who like to join then we know how much cars we have to reserve the paddock!

I've only met Lycan Strife and his AE86, saw the yellow, red and blue hachi's near the Wangang Warrior flag, and talked a bit with the guy from the purple beams levin.

Hmm, I did ask someone "Hey, is that your car?" (pointing at robokill's blue hachi). No, but "pointing at some baldy looking guy" he drives it today.

Too scared to butt in the convo's, ah well. Next time, open up a bit guys! I'm scared :wink:

The guy you asked was Art (banpei), and the baldy looking guy was me.

Did you guys all leave home without a camera, or are you deliberately keeping this thread void of some pictures?

I was seriously considering hauling my little mazda over there on sunday, but decided it would be a better investment to spend the day in the garage so I can maybe join with my ae sometime this century.
Some pics would be nice so I can see what I missed.
