I can totally relate to that!
I don't have a FB account anymore, but I still rely on my Whatsapp for most communications.
Also some time ago I got rid of all three Twitter accounts that I owned (one for AEU86, one for me personally and one for the company I used to own) and I haven't missed them since.

The beetle is my wife's. Needs some fixing, it's currently not registerable, but the chassis is good, just some surface rust.

Well, the new season just started, and took a break (winter returned with a layer of snow). This year will be pretty intense with AE86-stuff again.

Some impressions of last year, with regular everyday trips to work, an oldtimer rideout, and stuff.





This year's first big thing is the Reisbrennen indoor area at Tuning World Bodensee, where I was invited to bring the car:


New: Vanity plates for the show!

I'll be polishing it up for that, here's my todo-list:

• Install the new door cups
• Get the boot resprayed and the stickers attached - after that the remaining stickers will go to the AEU shop.
• Replace the deco screws on the Advans, the ones I picked last year were not stainless...
• Replace some screws that are crusty (mainly window wipers)
• Repaint the window trims that have lost their rubberization
• Wash and polish, shine all the plastics, ...
  

Anyone else also coming to the show? I know at least one other AE86 that will be there.

If I compare that with the new photo you took, it seems like you have modified the mid-section of the exhaust since then. As I just installed a Fujitsubo Legalis-R W-tail, I can ensure you with 95% accuracy that your car came originally with a Legalis-R as well.

Yes, indeed! For homologation and better driving comfort (less drone), I did get the mid resonator replaced with a muffler.
