But, will the ae86 parts be strong enough? they are not build to be used with a lot more weight/horsepower.

Eric - How MORE HP would affect subframe? Rollbar? And what additional weight are you talking about? If you keeping 4A engine - wheight stays the same... On the front subframe- all you do is just make holes bigger like 1mm to fit the Nissans LCA's bolts... On the nissan LCA's you just drill one additional hole for the AE86 tension rod... Ofcorse - tension rods its better to use from Nissan - but if you dont have these on your hands - ae86 one will go just right in..
