Kouki vs Zenki Levins
What are the differences between zenki and kouki Levins regarding the following parts:
1) front grilles
2) headlights
3) driving lights/turn signals
4) taillights

Are there any differences between different market Levins?

Are there any pics outlining the differences?

Thanks.

See also the technical FAQ:

But it is not that simple, because it also differs per market.

1:
zenki grille normally is louvre (JDM GT Apex has rotating grille though)
kouki grille is the "glass" grille

2:
afaik are the headlights the same, but the brackets different
Edit: the headlights have black eyelids (top and bottom) and they are not exchangable

3:
Edit: Driving lights look the same, but aren't
zenki has 2 small rectangular turnsignals on the bumper and the kouki has the turnsignals that also go around the corners

4:
EU are the same, JDM are different. See also this page:
http://www.billzilla.org/ae86stock.htm

5:
Rear end halfshafts are different thickness.

Perhaps time to make a page with our own pic as well. Wink

Zenki has either got black non functional thingies next to the city lights on the side with a small squary thing sticking out,

or orange working indicators again flat with a small squary thingy sticking out (only JDM I think)

Headlights are different. Koukis have black strips on both the top and bottom of the headlight. The parts are screwed onto the headlight. The Zenki light doesn't have the mounting points for these.

This makes them appear 'thinner'. The side/parker lights are also different, with the Koukis being 'thinner' as they have a thicker black plastic molding at the top and at the bottom they have a black bit whearas the Zenkis don't. The plugs are different on these too.

The bumpers are also different.

I think it not only LOOKS like a kouki but it IS. ;-)

If it had only the lights/bumper, then someone could have changed them along the way.. but I see you have the moulds on the guards, front and rear, so I'd say its a kouki for sure.

For information , i have rebuild the brake master cylinder and toyota is not able to supply good gasket.

Kouki probably have different master cylinder with 4 bolt instead of 2.
