Great to see something happening again. Looks like a serious cage there, lets hope you'll never need it

Krullibulls Ae86 BEAMS is the only way
Finally managed to upload the rest of the pictures onto Imageshack, something going on with the format?
Anyway! Bought a used IS200 gearbox to steal parts from. Stripped it down. Then had the casing blasted with plastic beads and some paint after that. Just couldn't leave it alone when I had it apart. Assembly of the 3SGE bellhousing with the IS200 insides. Bought a new Exedy Stage 2 clutch and put the gearbox back on. The engine looks extra sad with the fresh gearbox on it. Engine and gearbox back in! Made the worlds first AE86 "Pilsnerbil" out of a pair of old MB fenders that my garage buddy left in the way. Had to cut out more from the floor to get the seat in. Was a bit tricky to make this seat mount but now I can sit in the car with a helmet on and not hit the cage |

Great progress.. it's amazing how much higher you usually end up sitting in aftermarket racing seats compared to the stock seats in an ae86...
I take it pilsnerbil is your term for drunken projects, very appropriate . FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

Looks like alot now but it's spread out over quite some time. I never had original seats in mine, but now the racing seat is about 10mm from the floor . The more you know: Pilsnerbil/Pilsnerhäck is a Swedish term for ratty/thrashed old american (mostly) or mercs. Used for cruising, dacing, being obnoxious and heavy drinking by a subculture within the subculture called raggare. Kind of a rat-rod thing. Basicly white thrash being drunk and beating up their cars. Many of them are from the province Värmland, which they are happy to write on their cars. Some examples of cars and people. |

Well, I only wish we had such car culture going on in the netherlands.. it needn't be my thing, but it's fun and out of the ordinary..
Not too keen on the drinking + driving combo though. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

I agree with you Ivan: the car culture in NL is more a copycat of other countries. We have the VW scene, beemer scene, JDM scene, 'murrica scene, but all copied from the original countries.
