LHD AE86 headers and exhaust
You can use Bosch lambda sensors that bolt on the exhaust instead of these needing a flange...

I've been in contact with them since I'm looking to get a manifold. So far I'm blown away by their prompt correspondence, and willingness to accommodate special requests.

The manifold comes with a M18x1.5 fitting for wideband oxygen sensor, but they can add the stock Toyota oxygen sensor flange for a small fee. I also have a special outlet flange request that they're willing to accommodate. I asked about stainless steel options and he said 304 and 409 can be custom built for a higher cost.

I ended up getting the Martelius cat version in 409 and it doesn't fit. The main issues: clocking on the outlet flange is off, and it rubs the steering column u joint (manual steering). There's more but I won't go into it. I'm currently waiting to see how they handle it.

That is too bad Undecided. I really had a great experience with Martelius and I still love my exhaust.

My headers clear the steering column perfectly and the rest of the system was an easy fit although I had to adjust some of the holding brackets.

That's very extrange, Deuce Cam, I didn't have any problem with fitting mine other than the Y pipe being a little longer than needed, nothing that couldn't be solved with a saw and 30 minutes, though. Hope they can sort the problem soon! Dumb question

Out of curiosity did any of you have issues slipping the manifold over the studs on the head?

On mine the edge of the flange above the left stud was contacting the ear on the dizzy so it wouldn't slip on (red circle in above pic is shows the point of contact). It was assembled together in one piece on my first attempt, so then I tried taking it apart and installing piece by piece with no change. I had to loosen the dizzy and turn it for clearance to slip on the manifold. Once installed the dizzy can be adjusted through it's range.

I just thought it was very odd.

Edit: Martelius got back to me and they're willing to work on fixing it Smile

The guy I spoke with said it looked like there was more space between the exhaust and frame than he remembered. Do any of yours look like mine?

I'm also going to inspect the mounts to rule that out.

interesting, this was the first though that crossed my mind when I saw the pictures, I might be off but to me it looks like if you could tilt the engine slightly to the driver side it would clear the steering column but also misallign the connection to the CAT more.

The flange is further off than it looks in the pics. I'm not expecting to find any problems with the mounts, but I'm still going to check them at the request of Martelius. (They are cusco mounts and only a few years old.) The face of the flanges line up good enough, it's just the clocking is off . There's no way to twist the exhaust to make it line up.

In the outlet pic you'll also see a stock replacement SARD cat, and Brave cbe. The car is my daily and I'm currently using a US spec TRD 4-1 header with those parts. I've had the header for 5 years and it's in great condition (no cracks or repairs). Everything lines up perfectly with no fitment issues. I've also used the same TRD header with the stock cat / cbe, and an HKS sport cbe. The TRD header has been on 2 different cars and engines. Everything has always fit and bolted up perfectly.
