LSD - What to buy?

I would like to have your opinion about what LSD should i buy.

KAAZ,
TRD,
TOMEI
CUSCO
OTHER (which?)

I'm thinking in a Cusco Type RS 2 way. Is it a good choice?

I doubt it.. they dont look alike. Max Misawa buys them straight from the factory that made the trd LSD's originally, and it's not KAAZ.

Anyway, just from what I've heard, the KAAZ LSD is tougher than the TRD unit, but the TRD unit is easier to rebuild (ie, it's easier to find parts).
The cusco and tomei diffs are said to be even better than kaaz and trd, but the prices are pretty steep.

All in all...get what you can..they're all good.

Unfortunately it seems that the LSDs that max sells are for zenki diff and mine it's a kouki one.

KAAZ are the best overall for quality, locking action and durability. And best value too.

Rebuild kits are available from KAAZ USA cheaply enough, but I have never needed to replace any internal parts on a KAAZ due to their oversized plates with better oil channels giving a very long life.

TRD is a nice unit, but the build quality is not as good as the KAAZ and they have a much shorter life-span as well as being weaker in use. Still good diffs though.

Cusco are excellent too, though are expensive and not worth the extra money over KAAZ!

I think TRD = Hitachi. At least that's what I found on teh internet so far.

Tomei = $800 USD
TRD = $740 USD
OBX = $450 USD

ATS a lot of japanese like but the price is crazy

Cusco very nice but a little spendy and you also have to modify it to fit in the diff sometimes

Kaaz and tomei come from the same factory, many people like them but i have seen them explode so no thanks

TRD i like because before there was ATS thats what everyone was using for 10+ years with very few complaints

OBX is made in china junk, you get what you pay for i guess
