Magazine article: GT86, Celica GT-Four CS Edition and AE86
Hi all!!
This past Monday I had a great day, thanks to Toyota and Automotor Magazine. I've been asked by Toyota to bring my own Corolla (http://www.aeu86.org/viewtopic/corolla-l...ideo/t/975) to the Estoril Racetrack for this magazine to do an article about these three cars, that somewhat carry the same principle. Driving for fun! Besides driving my car again around the racetrack, having some fun, I also had the opportunity to drive the GT86 again. This time by myself, allowing some serious fun. I can clearly say that the automatic gearbox slows this car a lot. Having driven both, it is easy to find the difference. Nevertheless, it is a joy to drive. Chassis and suspension are brilliant, and the "low budget" Prius tires seem to have a lot of grip! The car as is lets us drift everywhere with such sense of control that it didn't cease to amaze me. This Celica GT-Four Carlos Sainz Edition is 1 of 12 that was sold in Portugal. It's a numbered version that carries some differences from the standard version. Some visual and other mechanical, as per the watercooled intercooler for the 3S-GTE engine that put around 205hp. But the real joy about the whole afternoon was the fact that my car was chosen to be a part of this magazine article that will be out in a couple of weeks. |
