Nothing any more detailed than what you can see here.

Note I have used press fit hose and fittings so you make your own lines - easy.

I made my own bracket. A little cumbersome but I wanted to make use of existing bolt holes only, not drill any new ones.

When thinking about placement, remember to factor in the impact the fittings will make to relative heights and clearance.

Andwhat kind of thread have you used? and the thickness of the hoses etc...

1/2 " push fit hose. I ordered 3 metres and I had quite a bit left over, even after I decided to change one of the hoses.

1/2 BSP thread for the fittings.

For a 1600cc naturally aspirated engine a 13 row cooler is heaps. This cost me GBP 59 but then they gave me 25% off everything.......

I have placed mine as low as possible in front of the radiator at the bottom right corner as you look from the front of the car. It is placed hard up against the radiator core. The hoses run through the oval shaped hole under the battery tray. I enlarged this slightly and modified an oval shaped rubber blanking plug I found on the front of an MX83 Cressida. Drilled holes in this for the hoses and there is no way the hoses will ever rub on the body work.

Make sure you place the cooler so the inlet/outlet is at the top, not the bottom, to minimise risk of airlocks.

The guys at Think Auto really know what they are doing so let them know what you are planning and they will tell you what you need. You can actually get a kit ready made up for an AE86 with hoses and all.

Owkee thanx Parrot,

For placing; I measured from oil filter straight to the side, unther the batery troug to the front and want to place the cooler untherneat the hood lock...
(so I have plenty of room left for my intercooler..

Are the hoses delivered in pieces of one meter or just in one piece??

The current engine is a 4agze, and not natural aspirated engine, and I was given the advice by a dutch rally shop to take at least the 16 row, but the 19 row was perfect they said..

ow btw, why did you got 25% discount ?? Big Grin

Hope that they will awnser my email shortly Big Grin

thanx sofar!

Cheers Roel

Hose came in one piece.

Re discount, I was passing through the UK on the way back from Brussels and was trying to arrange a VAT exemption form. Had the parts delivered to my brother in law in the UK. In the end, they found it all too hard so just knocked 25% of the total bill!!

It did actually, but that was because they were in the middle of changing over to a new server. Obviously shouldn't be a problem now. Perhaps the person is on holidays.

But yes, give them a call, they were very helpful.

Hi guys.

Do you think is it a problem to have oil temp always at 75-80 celsius when racing/drifting?
I bought a too big (35*30*5cm - 25row) oil cooler. I use it with the mocal thermostat adapter, but the temp won't rise over the opening temp I think.
