My Project - XE86
Man it was hard work getting these pictures off my phone. Bluetooth wouldn't work, borrowed a card reader and that wouldn't work, MMS wouldn't work. Sheesh, I think the world was against me showing my project off! Ah well I did it in the end.
Enjoy the pics. Will be done in time for a Xmas Day thrash on the roads near me. Engine will be about 200bhp. Suspension is Tokiko Blue's at moment but will be changing to coilovers as soon as I can afford to. The diff is a TRD (Guessing as it's quiet compared to other diffs) 2 way LSD. Not sure what else it's got thats worth mentioning. Bride seat, Stack rev counter, lots of carbon bits for interior. Coming soon is full weld in cage (T45 CDS), strut braces, seam welded engine bay and interior, lexan windows, new paint job, carbon door cards, coilovers, and some other trick bits. Enjoy. It's taken long enough! |

That car is so nice!
Love projects like this, it's gonna be fast as hell! But you missed one major thing.... Putting the seat on the same side as the steering wheel is *pointing at last picture*! |

Looks a good project! Are you building the cage yourself?

Yeah, myself and a friend will be doing it. He's Carlos Checa's race mechanic (Ducati, MotoGP) and he's shit hot at anything automotive. We make a half cage for my S13 in a day. Not going for anything crazy as I want to keep the weight down, but it will be a simple 6 point cage with some extra bracing. Can't wait to get it done. After cage is bodyshop. Taking all glass out for cage so I figured its the right time to paint the car inside and out. Can't decide on colour yet...White, orange or pink Car should be fast as F*** and drift rather well too

I say go pink, no one likes getting beat by a pink car . Especially a pink car from the mid 80's!

haha cool! Very true. Especially if they have friends or women in the car! They'd be like "dude, you just got wasted by some queer* in a pink car, you suck"
* I'm not actually queer |
