My Revised '80's Thrashbox
Hi fellow AE86 proud owners.
Good to see the strength of the 86 on your side of the planet doing well. So far I am on my 3rd AE86 now (2nd one in Japan) and I ended up with this. It's still not where I really want it so it's still a work in progress. I'm sure that some here might have already seen my car on other forums from past and recent. Car specs (Last updated in April 2015) Base: Toyota Corolla Levin Chassis: AE86 WHEELS Watanabe Racing R-Type 14" x 9.0J @Front Watanabe Racing R-Type 14" x 9.0J @Rear ADVAN NEOVA Tires for Front NEXEN Cheapies for Rear Super Lightweight Duralumin Race Wheel Nuts (Some Japanese brand which I forgot) HBK 20mm longer wheel studs BRAKES ENDLESS CCA Brake Pads Vented & Slit Disc Rotors all round RUN MAX Braided Brake lines SUSPENSION BC Coilovers (for now, will get the dampers custom re-valved later or go with a DG5 setup) Cusco Adjustable Tension Rods (Caster Rods) with the Cusco reinforced mounts as well Nagisa Auto Adjustable Inner Tie Rods Nagisa Auto Adjustable Pillow Ball Outer Tie Rods TRD Reinforced Bushes TRD Rear Sway bar TRD Bushed Upper Rear Control Arms Custom made Pillow Ball (Rose Jointed) Adjustable Super Thick Custom Lower Control Arms DRIVE TRAIN OS Giken STREETMASTER Single Metal Clutch with Chromoly Flywheel (2011 released model) Run Max Braided Clutch Line TOMEI Technical Trax 2 Way LSD 4.778 Final Drive Kit (with 5.375 TRD ratio spare) Brake Booster removed (was in the way of the 100mm trumpets) ENGINE (New spec built by KAI ENGINEERING in Kanagawa, Japan) AE92 base Compression Ratio 12.8:1 Bore : 81.0mm Stroke : Stock 77.0mm Managed by Haltech Platinum Sport 1000 Engine loom is now all Haltech Autospec Flying Lead Kit Long AE101 Throttle Bodies Tec Arts 100mm trumpets Techno Toy Tuning 4AG ITB Billet Adapter plate TOMEI PROCAMS Camshafts INTAKE: 288 x 10.0mm Lift / EXHAUST: 280 x 10.0mm Lift (Custom made by Suzuki-san, the younger brother of the founder of Tomei Powered Inc.) I also custom made the lazer marking on the cams myself at Tomei. yes I was MoSqiToN but got bored of that name so figured I'd change it. I wanted to keep the same name on other boards and I like this name better.
