Wouldn't be all that great for grip driving either. Humongous tires mean very little traction in the wet, so basically unusable in our climate. Some normal rims and tires with enormous offset would be better.

Also huge tires dull the steering respons and precision making it less fun to drive the car. They do provide more grip, so for racing it makes sense.

A wheel to steer the front of the car
A pedal to steer the rear
