New AE86 RUMOR! (FT-86 concept)
Popped down to my local dealer today. Ordered some bits for my car and also had a chat with the manager who is very keen for me to get my car in the showroom when their display GT86 arrives. :+:
Also picked up a GT86 brochure which came in yesterday apparently: GT86: The heritage: The legend: Interior: Posey shot: 1985 Sprinter Trueno GT Apex 2013 GT86 Miltek Exhaust, Injen Induction. |

Can you maybe also scan the official spec sheet, if it's in the brochure.
Another thing I'm curious about which wasn't clearly visible on pictures so far is the idea to have a cutout/removable panel on the dash to fit a rollcage as planed in the concept but never heared if it this idea actualy made it into production. Judging by the full blown doorpanels compared to the concept I guess not AE86 ex-daily |

If that in the corners are speakers one might be able to take those out in the case the go all the way out to the edge but I guess they didn't thought of that either anymore.
I still think it's a nice car just a shame the didn't stick to more ideas of the concept. I'm aware that due to todays regulations most concept cars can't be built 100% the same for production but small things like that shouldn't have been an issue. Especially on a car that is beeing promoted as one with a racing heritage and one of the most thoughtful concept version. I guess I'll keep it old school. Untill some manufacturer really gets 99% right on the production model. AE86 ex-daily |
