at that price you can than start considering hayashi streets, various SSR rims and watanabes..

rota seems like a bang for buck deal, and they are pretty light(ish) too.

NoHachi Wrote:For the price of some of those rims, I think you would be better of investing in some truly lightweight EDM 3pc wheels. 800E should buy you a set of BBS Renn Sport rims that are light rebuildable and the original look that many of the japanese oldscool rims tried to copy.

The old-style "weavebasket" Rennsport is pretty difficult to find anymore - occasionally some sets can be seen in ebay.de but usually not with 4x114.3 PCD so they'd need special spacers for changing the PCD. Here's an example;

The later style BBS RS with a "fake single nut" centre cover from late 80s is more readily available as they were popular in E30-body BMWs. Again, they're rarely (if ever) found in 4x114.3;

The nice thing with the Rennsport/RS is that they're actual forged 3-piece designs and you can separate the inside and outside parts of the rim, as well as the centre and rebuild each wheel with the offset and width you want. See the pics in these for illustration;

Firehawk is correct..
I have seen sets of these go for big amounts of money.. If you're patient enough, sometimes even 114.3 examples come up for sale..usually a lot cheaper then their 4x100 counterparts.
Finally, i have seen the centers of old scool wheels come up for sale too. These usually sell pretty cheap..even the classis pirelli and RennSport centers. Just have to find some inside and outside wheelparts to suit.

HTN Herbs sells wheelcenters etc that kinda copy the old style rims:

Those look like the OEM capri rims that the later generations had (or some other oldscool ford). Best bet for 114.3 rims would be the Advan A3A copies of these (though those do not have this concave surface).

They're 4x110..might just fit on 4x114 hubs with some slight persuasion.
