Hi everybody,
A little bout myself My name is Quoc, 22 years old. And i'm the one who bought the black AE86. I;m very excited about it, cause the AE86 is truly an ICON for the driftcars ![]() ![]() Furthermore, I'm still studying, just have to graduate. Fan of driftcars, jap cars and fast cars ![]() The car: Well this is it: ![]() ![]() It;s a GT Twin-cam. According to the display it has run 350k km. But according to the seller it has a new engine with 90k. And I've to say... it runs very very smoothly... no weird sounds around the engine. ![]() It does has somewhat rust on the rear end... but hey, it's a car build 1984! So i have to work on this. Nice tires, good behaviour in the corners and a lot quicker than i'm used to. Slightly lowered, apparently stronger/ more progressive shocks. And original toyota spoilers.. yeeeeeaaah ![]() My daily car and used-to-be project ![]() I also have 2 Toyota Starlets EP71. One of them was a project to custom convert this 2E engine to turbo engine. With help and with parts of my friends we started in Januari. (the parts were from a different brand actually ![]() ![]() A short list of my stuff i've done to my daily car in prep for the conversion: - lowering springs -40mm - GAB front swaybar - Yellow Koni Sports shock front and rear - Turbo S OEM front strutbar - Cusco Camberplates - Cusco Lower Arm Bar - Cusco rear strut bar - 195/55-R13 Semperits with R5GTT PH2 rims ![]() - P7S vented brake disc system in stead of the standerd solid discs and brake calipers with Apexi brake pads. Damn, what a difference, before and after! Already ordered, but not yet shipped - Whiteline custom rear sway bar - Whiteline Castor-kit - Whiteline adjustable Panhard-rod And had chosen not to install the full bodykit untill the conversion was finished. So it looks very standaard, but you'll be suprised bout the corner behaviours ![]() ![]() But alas, I just threw away these turbo plans as soon I saw this AE86 for sale. So I arranged a meeting on very short notice. And bought it. I hope to learn a lot bout the AE86 in a short while, it's a bit different than the simpel carb engine with no ECU at all. Well this about it... A bit longer visit card... But hey, I think I've introduced myself properly this way ![]() Cya laterz, Quoc / Calavera |

Heey Calavera!
Now i know why you're selling the Turbo S parts ![]() Welcome onboard! And in some way i think the starlet P7 is the same as the AE86. It doesn't look fast, but with some suspension mods, you can scare people ![]() "It's all about the heart, the people who focus on parts, turbo's and all that stuff...they're just losers." -Shinji Minowa |
