Newera Import's 200 bhp N/A AE86 - Progress Report!
This car is Insane. I've never seen such attention to detail on a AE86. The fact that this is a 200hp 4A-GE with Air-Con strikes me.

I wish I had the knowledge to put together such a reliable engine.

Love the color, the seats, the roll cage, the brakes, the whole engine, the dash... well, just about everything...

Congratulations! I hope you can keep on enjoying such machine.

What is your feedback on that Greddy Brake kit? Bolt on? No need to fit brake balance?

Best regards

Wow! Your car just keeps on getting better! How are the Greddys compared to the FC calipers?

I had a problem with the FC3S Callipers on my car. Even after rebuilding them with new pistons and seals, they would still bind a bit. Perhaps because the callipers were very old? I don't know - but when the Greddy 6 pot mini kit came out, I switched to them.

Braking's very good now. In a word, "Stonking". Not needed a brake bias valve at all, but I may fit one just to see if I can make it any better than it already is.

As for the exhaust manifolds, yes we can supply one for you Rossi. We've found another company that makes these works of art for AE86's considerably cheaper than those from Kimisu Racing Service (I paid close to £1,000 for mine), although they'll still be in the region of £700 delivered. This is top quality stuff, made to special order only, mind!

What discs are you running with these Greddy calipers then Miguel? And I presume the pads are a specific fit for the caliper? Does it limit your choices down or ease of getting spares at all?

It's a complete brake system from Greddy specifically designed for AE86 fitment. It even comes with braided hoses, if I remember correctly... Slotted discs are 282mm size. Pads of exact correct size are available from our favourite brand, Endless. Once I tried their CC-X compound, I haven't used anything else for performance cars.

lovely piece of car you built up there Thumbs up!

2 questions:
what make are the front lower arms and how much are they? (I need 20mm more track each side to clear my increased steering angle)
and how much is such a folding number plate holder and can it be altered to fit other sizes?

Cheers Bean
