Also I notice the box welded into the firewall to make room for the distributor..so it is possible. Buying a relocation or DLI kit would probably look better though.

150 aus dollar...that's not too bad.. And megasquirt including edis could be assembled for less that 400 dollars. MegaSquirt costs around 250 pre-assembled, edis for free if it fit's under my jacket when I go to the wreckers. I usually just take one small part to pay for while I leave the important bits in my toolbag. No need to pay those idiots more than necessary, they try to rip me off every time.
Anyway, even if you pay for the edis unit you still end up under 400 dollars since the wiring is pretty cheap to do yourself. A relocation kit or DLI kit (unit you place on distributor location) are more practical if you choose to stick to stock ECU. The kits often use parts from other cars anyway (like the coils for instance). FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

Well, the first parts are starting to find their way to my place. Baught a rear axle + diff from a toyota celica 1600gt. It should be a nice fit under the corolla as this axle came standard on the TE27 models. Its a D series axle, so the ringgear should be 0.08" smaller then a AE86 ringgear, not too shabby. It also came with a LSD as standard, this axle has just covered 70.000km's so it should be in great shape!
Pics to follow tomorrow. edit: oh yeah...it cost me just 125 euro's ghe ghe ghe and if needed, the AE86 pumpkin bolts right in. A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |

The problem he was thinking about was how to relocate the distributor. Any solutions ? Prices and of course place to buy... Thanks! AE86 FANATIC!!! |
