I think this car was sold off before it was finished so I never got to hear how it handled. Some ideas tho.

3.5kg is a huge amount of metal! Have you got pics of the final result?

If looking at weight around the alternator, replacing the factory cast metal bracket with an alloy one would save a lot.

My(ex) pockets were "repaired" some years ago so maybe there was extra metal in them. And protection:

Removed rear pockets and jack stand (behind left rear wheel), in total saved 4.3kg. I guess same amount is saved with leveling the trunk by removing spare tire rack.

Much harder to save weight in front...

Yeah I have removed the spare wheel well already, lots of weight saved there.
