Well there is your problem right there.

You mention in one of your earlier posts that you hate some of the other forums cause all they do there is talk about video games. We pride ourselves that we are a forum that attracts the more technically savvy folk and somehow seem to have a high post count of valuable technical information.

We also pride ourselves in the way that experienced mechanics and newby learners treat each other with respect. That is the source behind our success, why people like coming here, why people like posting here. They do not have to be afraid to ask something, and they find many friendly faces willing to help.

Here is a topic of a person who obviously knows what he's doing better then the majority out here, the pictures speak louder then words, he's doing what so many people only talk about and seems to be doing a good job at it. He's asked some questions he needs to ask to make his project work for him hoping to find like minded people who can help him find the answer. He is after all, human and as a human, doesn't know everything.

What he encountered is a guy who probably knows the answer, very possibly could be a valued friend, someone who could be a respected member on this site, but someone who for whatever reason keeps making a complete arse of himself, beating everyone down with a stick, and patting himself on the back for doing so.

You also suddenly take a poke at eircam which was totally unwarranted and out of line.

It is our job as admins and moderators to politely ask people to behave and treat each other with respect. If they repeatedly ignore these requests at some point we'll need to draw conclusions and take action. We after all do not want to become one of those sites where there no longer is positive constructive talk about our hobby, but just hateful topics where users flame each other or everyone talking about games.

Anyways, I vote we split of this insane off topic discussion and place it into offtopic so Roco's topic is clean again.
