Diff goes click, clunk and donk
Hey guys.
I have this clicking sound come from my diff area while I'm driving around. It normally happens will I am changing gear. I changed my diff oil the last night because I thought this would solve the problem but it didn't. I guess it means its dieing but I just want to be sure..any suggestions? I once read that you shouldnt believe everything you read. |

Are you sure its the diff and not your gearbox? Sound can travel in mysterious ways you know

It maybe the gearbox...I gear box has a slight wine sound while driving so I thing that, that is on its way out but I want it to last till I do my engine and transmission converson.

couldn't it be that the joints from the axel to the diff are loosening a bit.
Because when you shift gear, the drive is 'lost' so for a while the rear axle drives the axle, then you are finished with shifting and then it's the other way around.
