Greddy Oil Cooler, Themo block and filter relocation kit...
Howdy folks,
anyone know anything about this ? I have the option of either a 10 row or 13 row cooler. I wanted to do the filter re-location at the same time too hence looking at this kit. I think the themo block has mounts to take all temp and pressure senders for gauges and it also works as an oil themostat so oil is only routed through the cooler when needed. The price (*gulp*) is £595 inc vat and shipping (*double gulp*) It does come with all the earls connectors, braided lines and brackets etc. Any information or alternatives welcome. Regards Ian. |

Brother Ian, that is a bumrapists price... go to http://www.thinkauto.com for the Mocal stuff which is just as good...
Pick out what you want and order it through Si or Lex as I think they can get a fair discount. Also, go for an inline 'stat as they work/flow better than the sandwich-type 'stats. You should be fine with a 13 row. Mocal stuff is A1 quality dude. |

Greddy Oil Cooler, Themo block and filter relocation kit...
Hi Will,
yeah - we used Think automotive when doing the dry sump aeroquip lines on the busa powered westi. There is no way I'm going to pay that price for an oil cooler kit LOL. Regards Ian. |

Ian, do you really need to replace stock oil cooler, use relocation kit or something ? I'm curious is there any kind of problem with the stock system.
PS: I don't agree that cooler is always better. The oil temperature must be kept in some margins (80-100 C) - too cold is bad for engine also. |

The reason I want to do this is that my car doesn't appear to have any form of oil cooler right now - unless there is some weird heat exchanger I've missed somewhere
