Owning a car in Germany?
Hello all! I thought I'd registered here before but I guess I never did. Anyway, I'm Jay and I've just moved to Potsdam (Germany - near Berlin.)
I'm looking at buying a car over here (doesn't have to be a Corolla - anything smallish with flip-up headlights will do) and I'm wondering how expensive things like tax+insurance+tüv are. I've heard a few horror stories but everything else seems to be cheaper here than back home. Anyway, greets to you all. I know some of you from other boards but to those I don't, hi. Are there any meets or events going on I'd want to know about? - J |

Owning a car in Germany?
Heh, thanks for the ideas guys! This is what I left behind in Canada:
^^ Celica GT-S daily driver & Porsche 944S track car ^^ And this Starion (Conquest) TSi that I dragged up from New Mexico when I got sick of dealing with rust ^^ This is how it looked when I saw it last. And here's my old Corolla that I sold two years ago: (More pics here and here.) If I get some time to go back and finish the Starion I might ship it over, but that won't be for a while. It needs a lot of engine work & tuning too. - J |
