Hay all.

So I’ve come across a set of wheels that I’ve been after for years. And I mean years. Only issue is they only come in 4 or 5x100.

I’ve had a look and can’t seem to find any apart from custom made adaptors from Driftworks, but can you get 4x114.3 > 5x100 PCD adaptors?

The wheels themselves are 7j ET35 so I’m also wondering what size adaptor I’d need to make them fit well.

TIA

Here's how they'll fit comparing to the "standard" 15x8 et0. It's generally hard to have adapters change the number of studs, but a 4x114.-4x100 adapter is easier.

That’s a cracking website.

4x100 would be far easier, granted, but the last full set of 4x100 wheels came up for sale over 5 years ago. You just don’t get them

I'm pretty sure that the reason you don't see 4 x 114.3 to 5 x 100
adapters for the AE86 style hubs/lug nuts is that it is impossible to
make such an adapter. The holes are too close together to allow
room for the counterbore required for standard lug nut fixing. This
pic shows how close they are when using capscrews...

Those are 4 x 100 to 5 x 100 adapters. Using 4 x 114.3 moves the
four holes out by 7.15mm but then there has to be another hole
added as the long stud can't be used with different PCD's. I seem
to remember wrestling with this issue myself a few years back and
finding that there was no workable answer.

You can get custom 5-stud hubs for the front easy enough, but a
5-stud conversion for the rear is a major unless you happen to be
using a HiLux axle that can be re-drilled to 5 x 100. Maybe weld,
machine and re-drill the AE86 axles might work ?

I did think it was something like that. This makes me sad lol. I’ll have to wait it out for a set of 4x100 wheels I guess

4x114.3 to 4x100 spacers, and then put 4x100 to 5x100 on there.... hella ghetto but it's doable. only problem is you'll have at least 40mm worth of spacers. I wouldnt reccomend it for daily use.

That crossed my mind Huh but that's a lot of pressure on the hubs. Don't daily the car but it does get tracked and driven hard so hubs on hubs on hubs is asking for trouble lol

Came across this when I was looking for something else...
http://www.caliwheels.com/wheel-machining-p-4.htm
The wheel in the pics has a cover over the wheel lugs.
But if you had wheels without a cover you might be able
to skim the from as well to tidy things up. You would need
to look at the back of the wheel as well to see if it has a
full bolting face or cutouts between the bolt holes.

Maybe there is a wheel company around your location who
can do this kind of "fill and drill" work ?

Rimscarnated have done quite a few Fill and Drill jobs on wheels.

They machine out the existing profiles for the holes and then interference fit and weld in solid blanks, machine them to suit the wheel and then cut in the new PCD with the appropriate lug profile.
