POLL: Help me pick flares for my NoHachi
Hi everyone.
Soon I'll be ordering some flares for my KE-25 coupe, but i'm kindoff torn between two available styles. The first one is a copy of the rare original TE-27 flares. They were original equipment on this type of corolla and quite understated. Very nice imho. The second option is a set of old celica flares. I'm guessing most of you will like the wider, more "tuner" look of these. They do need modification to fit and ruin any chance of the car looking even remotely stock. Examples of both types can be found here:http://www.netwiz.net/~tcar/c_oakland.html The blue and grey car have the TE-27 flares, the yellow and white one have celica flares (but might be cheating with extra wider wheel arches underneath). I like the celica flares for an all-out, in-your-face track car. TE-27 flares for the road would be my choice.

I've seen the Celica flares testfitted on a KE25.
They don't fit even close, a LOT of work is needed! "It's all about the heart, the people who focus on parts, turbo's and all that stuff...they're just losers." -Shinji Minowa |

You know I like the fat-daddy look for TE27's, but if the te27 flares are easier to install just go for those.. It's the paint-job that really does the trick in the end.

@Doc: what type of modifications are we talking about? To the wing? to the flares themselves?
@Ivan: would that be this site: http://www.showcars-bodyparts.com/corolla.html ?? If not, then please provide me with a link. I'll probably be buying them from Rhett (toycoolrolla). So far he's the only guy who sells them at a reasonable price and seems to have them in stock. Order a trunk seal and chin spoiler at the same time. Hmmm, the celica flares look a bit too wide to me. It distorts the lining of the KE20.
I'd go for the TE27 copies. 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

Yeah that was the site..BTW I also found a site from aus/NZ that sells old rubber seals for your little car...guess I know where that seal you where supposed to be getting is coming from. About 70EUR for the seal, and they sell all the other rubber as well (door/boot rubbers).
