the quaife racks have straight cut teeth in the rack, so are much harder
to turn and drive with than the standard racks, to give quicker return
more caster is needed with them. I fitted one once and took it out aswell,
standard one is much better.

Wow and I thought I had anger management issues! Big Grin

More caster was probably all you needed, bit late now though ....

[u:37a30a0439]To mc68[/u:37a30a0439] , Owning and rallying with that car for ten years now .
I had lot of problems with the car ,all solved , and I 'm working alone on that car, doing all by myself .
I must thanks lot of people on this forum for their help .
But answer like yours and , "if you throw it away , i'll gladly pick it up , are very helpful !

To NoHachi :
As You say , it's great time to work for next season , starting on March 13&14.
Trying to fix the rear brakes system , upgrading to Golf IV calipers and Nissan Primera rotors . And I can say that it's absolutly [u:37a30a0439]not[/u:37a30a0439] bolt on

No time to waste and Quaife quick rack is forgotten for me .

I guess by now you've taken a look in lajoosh's thread, seems that (after you drill a couple of holes, it now is bolt on.

I Too Run and rally my own car, and only work on it myself. I just felt you didnt even bother to work out why it was causing a problem. Maybe, you were right and it deserved to be turfed. But I run a quaife rack, it was horrible with any sort of sedate caster, now I run almost 7 degrees, its really quite special Smile
