it is an US group buy, i cannot imagine it can be cheaper to ship this item two times overseas and pay the tax twice. quaife is an UK brand if i am right. Here is an local dealer so i can ask for price.

Quaife has a US division as well I think, but it might be better/cheaper to get it in UK. But I think its rather important that it is the version 2 rack, that has an extra tooth cut into it. Otherwise you'll have less angle than stock...

Sarcasme is just one of the things I offer Wink

Jan has spotted the reason I wanted to join in on the US groupbuy.
There are some mistakes in the orginal Quaife design, together with xXRidgeRacerXx from the club4AG they are "developing" a better one.
And even Mk2 is not optimal, they are working on version Mk3 if I'm not mistaking.

The reasons are described halfway through the page here: http://forums.club4ag.com/zerothread?id=15231&page=2

To make sure we get that one instead of the earlier version I wanted to join in with them.

But, I would like to arrange it so that the European buyers get the racks delivered straight from the factory in the UK, this to prevent double shipping costs as mentioned by SekiguchiUeno.

First I want to know how many people are interested over here.

2. ...
3. etc

I don't know for sure if you get version 1 at the local dealer, but to avoid any trouble it may be better to buy it through the american group buy.

The price is only going to be known when the Mk3 version is ready.
Last price was 239 dollar excluding shipping costs, so I think it will be around that amount.

I'm interested too.. but I dont like the fact that I have to trust some unkown guy in the US with my money. From what I've read on club4ag, the organiser also doenst like dealing with european guys much (same reasons I guess).
If you guys come up with a way of handling this that seems reliable then count me in.

A year ago I bought quick steering rack from here http://www.sorvaamokarpiola.fi/ , it cost 305€ (rack, pinion and rack guide).
Mine is 2.5 rounds from end to end, but they can make it also only 1.8 rounds end to end.

They also make different kind machinings.
