RACB Champion's Day - Hachi Rallycars!

Today i was in Belgium, at the Spa Franchorchamps race track.
It was some rally day, i didn't know what to expect, but i went there for a friend, who was invited by the organization, to show his TE27 1974 RAC Rally replica. Ove Andersson was there, and he even drove the car!



But i was pleased to see there were 5 Hachi's driving around!
Seems those Belgian guys really know how to rally, because the day was very cool, lotsa oldskool stuff (i'll post some more pics and vids later)!

All where pretty stock, only the FINA sponsored car was very quick and LOUD (looked he had the TRD side exit exhaust ), he was running carbs and a 2E distributor (that's what it looked like though, the owner didn't speak English and my French sucks )

I see a mini in there! how was he? (except slow ) And that MkI Gr.4 Escort must have been something.

That's not my Corolla, sadly I wish it was mine
I've got a sedan, and this is the Coupe.
But the guy owning this car, has build mine, a few years back.

The mini, well it was quite fast actually
It did sound very nice (the superchargerish sound from the gearbox ) and went pretty well.
But it wasn't a real competition day, just for fun and let sponsors and people who are interested see what rally is.

And the MK1 Escort sounded like it had a Cosworth Turbo engine in it, he was really quick and sideways all the time

remind me to give you some flyers some time soon, you should pass them out to hachi drivers! would be nice to get some of those guys on the forum

75% was oldskool, and olskool rocks!

2 of the hatchies almost kissed the wall. They went a little tó sideways
