Radiator oem or upgrade on racecar?
I have allways thought a upgrade alloy radiator are the best out there. But my friend just showed the opposite. He have a drag Starlet, fitted with a 600hp 4A-GTE and a Civic radiator. First a china made thick and heavy radiator, it ran too hot. Then he bought a Mishimoto Civic radiator with no difference at all, still too hot. Now he fitted a unoriginal OEM radiator to a fraction of price and problem solved
I'm building my race/rallycar, and wondering if you guys had any similar problems with upgrade radiators? I'm very confused what I should buy? Project AE86 now begun. Cars I have owned: Toyota Starlet EP91 1,3 16v Turbo, 200hp Toyota Starlet EP71 1,3 12v Sport Mercedes 207D camper, 1977. Toyota Starlet EP70 with a 174hp Silvertop 20v See video here: http://videos.streetfire.net/search/Star...079edc.htm Toyota Corolla AE101 with a 164hp Silvertop 20v. (Evolution bodykit and candycolor paint). Volvo 240 2,1 (The only car I have maked money on). Toyota Corolla EE90 (my first car) |

Double row copper is the way to go if you want serious cooling and weight. No complaints on my Koyo rad more then that it didn't come with a cap.
