Why is my engine cross member cut back?
After having a good look under the car today i noticed the engine cross memeber has been cut back with a gas torch. It looks like the sump would note clear it otherwise. Any one have the answer?

Bigger than standard sump pan ?
Check the brackets that are attached to the engine from the cross member - maybe they have been shortened and the engine is lower in the car ? Regards Ian. |
