Rinkya container sharing from Japan
I got in touch with Rinkya and they offer container sharing:
Quote:Also, Rinkya has started a service for car parts, where users can share a container to save and ship costs and get the large parts from Japan that you normally could not ship!
So in case you wish to get very large parts (like bumpers, doors, exhaust systems) or very heavy parts (engine, drivetrain, etc) from Japan this is a good way to get them to your doorstep! Smile
You can find the container sharing on the forum of the Rinkya website

For the people who do not know Rinkya: they offer a "man in the middle" service for auctions on Yahoo Auctions, some Japanese shops (Carland for instance) and Rakuten shops. You order your parts through them and they will handle communication, receiving the parts and shipping them to you. Smile

Hello Banpei,

I am curious how much Rinkya told you it will cost for 1 container? I am in the process with a great company (http://www.gotounyu.co.jp/english/english%20site.html) that has the best price I have ever seen.
I heard bad things about shipping individual things from Rinkya, but maybe they are finally doing something right with their container option, hence why I like to compare prices to see if I can beat their cost.
What port would a container be shipped too?

To be honest: I have good experience with them, but those were only small packages.
I have no idea what a container will cost through Rinkya since the AEU86 sharing never got off the ground and everybody kind of forgot about it. Wink
Good to see you are also doing containers! Thumbs up!
