looking good although I personaly prefer the spring type solution for better airflow and less turbulences, like this

but as you had to get a new piece in there certainly not a bad choice Smile

Well got my OBX exhaust completly installed now.

And Ivan came to help me the whole Saturday. To bad we didn't got the car running due to a couple of downsides.

- empty battery
- mysterious electronic problem
- grounding problem

So on Sunday I went out for another try. This time Aram was so friendly to come along.

now the problem.

Engine does crank and fuel pump is running but I am missing the engine check light during ignition key on first spot.

Seems there is no connection between the ecu and the rest of the engine.

I made a movie from it.

Hope someone can help me. Becaus I am running out of ideas why its not working.[/video]

the sound in the ed after you turn the key again sounds just like when i had a shortcut in the light switch - probably not much of a help but it's defo the same sound (was apparent when the pin for the cluster had juice on without the lights themself)

I see you attached an additional ground - is the original ground that goes on to the intake plenum (thick wire where the injectors are) also attached?

due to the busing sound at the end I guess some wireing got shorted or similar... I don't have a garage anymore to test things out as I just moved to Brussel but have a look with a current tester in the area of the drivers footwell... maybe you can locate the bussing sound and go from there
I'm not 100% sure but the sound seems to be for shortcircuited relay and switches in general... not just the light.

EDIT: don't guess you have the day off on a Monday or Wednesday? I could come and have a look...
