Its one of the best going cars I've had. For NA i really wasn't expecting it to go as well as it does. I know these aren't the quickest cars in the world but straight line against a fiesta ST which are 150hp iirc, it left it for dust. THAT i wasn't expecting. Wouldn't expect something else from a 920-1000kg leightweight car. Its all about the power/weight ratio what makes these fast Anyway congrats for the succesful registration. took the car to its first show 2 weekends past. Local vintage/classic show. car got a load of attention as most people had never seen one and then you had the Initial D Fanboys. so yeh wings and roundabouts.
shortly after the car broke down. The return fuel pipe on the rail had collapsed and was like hitting a brick wall. changed the pipe and alls good. Had to fix the fuel sender also. had 3 bust ones and made 1 good one. only got this pic. Went up Applecross yesterday for a friends memorial drive. For those that don't know its on the west cost of scotland and make up a part of the NC500 route. if you like back roads, open roads, up hill sections, down hill sections and hair pins alone with some stunning views then this is the road. Car held up great. was only let down by the tyres. had a play around with my friends 545WHP evo on the corners. was very surprised at how well it stuck to his arse. so was he! Aim of the game now it to prep for Nurburgring in 8 weeks time. starting of with some Compomotive RFX wheels with some Yokohama AD08R tyres to keep me on the correct side of the crash rail.... |
