That is one sweet engine bay you got there - have you had any problems with the XS power manifold?
by the way - it would be nice if anyone were to make a step by step guide regarding installing the CA18DET engine into a AE86 regards Johnny why go forward when you can go sideways |

Quote:im currnetly doing a ca18det conversion and undecided on fmic, whats urs running? and what speed drive/cable is it running as ca g/box electric and hatchi box cable?!?!? You'd have to ask Kyle about a writeup, or Zax who will be swapping soon..didn't seem to involved though. You definately don't want to imitate the speed setup..its uhm...creative. Lets just say that the CA gearbox was pursuaded to no longer be an electronic setup. Quote: and what happened to the rims guys- the rims he had on it were beautiful, kinda like them better then the black ones, but i love black rims... The rewinds are off to have slicks fitted to them..We have a gazillion sets around so just swapped a set that still had tires on em. The mani seems to be the old non-stainles version. Hope this one holds up a bit better (normal steel is more flexible) and will be easier to weld when broken. I'm not to worried though..I can order 4 new XSpower manifolds before I'm at the pricepoint of a cast HKS log manifold. The car won't do many miles, so 4 sets should last us a lifetime and flow a great deal better then the log. A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |

It's also in need of a turbo..we'll get there soon.
BTW, there isnt that much we can do to this car anymore, other than clear up the things that where installed a bit messy. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

In the true spirit of useless updates:
Ladies and gentlemen. We have a shiftlight. Nifty little thing came with a tacho and all. The heart wanted a stack digital race dash, but the wallet decided on this 40E "Typoh-aRoh" unit. Quality doesn't seem so bad to be honest, we'll see how it holds up. Turbo should be in somewhere this week too, so perhaps the wrenching can start as early as this weekend.
