Well probably you will have noticed by now, we've had a couple of days of downtime just before the end of the year.

We're not out of the woods yet. With Banpei on Holiday in a town where they haven't heard of this thing called the internet (or computers for that matter) its been a bit hard to get everything up and running again. Seems like our server crashed somehow and due to some thing not being correctly wired up we couldn't get it all up and running remotely.

Seems like its up now though, we haven't found the cause yet so not sure if it will stay up.. We think it may be a faulty power supply... we'll keep you guys updated...

Lets hope she desides to stay up and keep running for a few more days.. the server is limping at the moment. We're still not sure what went wrong, it may still be that we got hacked or had some sort of DOS attack that caused it to go down so it could go down again. But our remote access at the moment is limited.

Banpei should be back in the country on Wednesday so then he can take a closer look at the server. Lets hope it stays online till then Big Grin

Just heard from Banpei that the problem was most likely a problem with a harddisk on the server.

No hacking involved Thumbs up!

Indeed... Harddisk gave an error and some things got stacked up and increased the load too much: dunno how, but the network services became unavailable. Confused

However: I also forgot to add the image server to the startup script, so the attachments were gone up till today... Sorry about that... Undecided

Anyway, I'm back and it is fixed for short term. Hurray!

Now need to buy a new harddisk and swap the one which gave the error. Tongue
