So uh, hello!
Hey All,

Bit of a ghost from the past posting here. Damn I haven't checked the forum in years since moving to Australia. Out of sight, out of mind I guess...

How's everyone doing?

So uh, hello!
Wow! Bas is here! Hurray!
Yeah, basically most people around here as still lurking as FB doesn't really keep any (browsable) history. I'm no longer on FB, but I hear from others that the same questions are being asked over and over again. It's sad, but technical knowledge collected on forums is slowly dying as FB Groups take over their purpose.

The only reason I'm on FB is that that's the place most of my family and friends back in Holland are.

I actually try to avoid contact with some of my family members, so not being on FB saves me a lot of stress. Big Grin

Yes, FB is really bad for knowledge retention and sharing, for which forums like these were always way better (there's even a search function!). I'm not using FB either, as I don't like being the product.

I'm very happy that this forum is alive and well and seeing regular posts. Checking in about once a week or so.

Cool! I really should attend as well. Anyway, make sure to let me know when you're in town and we'll meet up! Atleast I'm guessing you're flying into Sydney?

Yes. Landing the 2nd of January and then staying a couple of days before heading to Canberra. Afterwards a kittle trip out to Tasmania and then back to Sydney for the last few days before heading back home.
