well today i done my oil and filter change, decided on 15w-40 gtx mineral for high milage engines, also done my rocker cover gaskets as they were leaking,

rocker cover gaskits, there were 3 parts to this, the 2 that go under the actual covers but i couldnt find anywhere to put the 3rd one weird Confused

oil filter was a bit of a bastid as well, had to resort to hammer and chissel for that as well

now to the annoying bit, removed the remainder of my aircon, the pump, the previos owner started it and never finished the job, i found out today, thre last bolt was the one underneath the pump, and the head was rounded, tried the good old method of hammer and chissel, this didnt work so resorted to brutal and extreme measures, can anyone guess what that was

yeah the angle grinder lol Huh Huh

pics from today

Aha..I see we have some more company in the 0.1+ tonne club.. welcome!
BTW, I think the 3rd valve cover (4age's dont have rockers) you mentioned is that rubber one that is s'posed to go around the metal trim plate that goes over the sparkplug valley.
BTW that looks like a risky place to jack your car up....it's better than the sills, but I would prefer using the crossmember.

We usually put them under the frame rails..but watch out which ones you use, cause if you use the wrong ones it'll sag. There is a pic in the factory manual that shows the correct locations.
I've also seen some wooden blocks for sale on yahoo japan that people can use on top of their axle stands. It's basically a piece of wood that slots around the metal support of the axlestand, it has a slot on top so you can lower the metal edge into that and it will not bend. I prefer just putting them under the chassis with some wooden blocks though.
